Welcome reception

Experience one of Stockholm’s most iconic buildings!
The City Hall is a living symbol for Stockholm. Together with some of the leading artists and craftsmen of the time, the architect Ragnar Östberg, created an architectural masterpiece. Since its inauguration in 1923, the building has had several functions, both political and ceremonial. It is where the Stockholm City Council hold their meetings and where the Nobel Prize banquet takes place each year, on 10 December.
The Welcome reception on Monday 19 May is generously hosted by the City and Region of Stockholm. A dinner buffet and drinks will be served, and a guide will tell the guests about the beautiful City Hall.
How to get here
You can reach the Stockholm City Hall by public transportation, by car, or on foot.
By bus: Bus number 3 stops right outside the City Hall. The name of the stop is Stadshuset.
By metro: Take the metro to T-centralen, walk towards Centralstationen and use exit Vasagatan. Walk south along Vasagatan towards Tegelbacken. Turn right underneath the bridge.
Important: It is crucial for all registered guests to arrive on time for the reception.

At Winterviken, Alfred Nobel’s old dynamite factory built in 1891, owned by internationally renowned chef Markus Aujalay, you will be served a sustainable dinner menu within One Planet Plates climate budget 1 kg CO2e. The menu is developed in collaboration with WWF.
Transportation to and from the dinner venue will be arranged.
